A portion of proceeds generated from VE general merchandise sales will be donated to The Special Olympics Massachusetts. The Special Olympics arranges year-round sports training and competitions to individuals, of all ages, with intellectual disabilities. The organization is devoted to transforming lives through sports, they promote athletic and individual growth in which participants shatter stereotypes and expectations. 

 

The Massachusetts division of Special Olympics was founded shortly after the global organization began and was an essential innovator in creating Unified Sports. Unified Sports’ mission is to connect athletes with and without disabilities—promoting a world of inclusivity and mutualism. The Special Olympics does not undermine the power of sports, they create a better world by taking advantage of the life lessons acquired through organized sports. The athletes grow physical, emotional, and mental strength alongside social skills to become a better version of themselves and positively impact the world around them.
